Hothead Games is a publisher, a developer, a self professed player, occasional philosopher, and as far as we know the only mobile studio staffed exclusively by accountants. We strive for entertainment in all things, including our award-winning game catalog, our company culture, and even this self-aggrandizing corporate website that you’re reading right now.
Founded back in 2006, when our Hotheads merely had Coldfeet, our goal was nothing less than total world domination. We tried to accomplish this by making really fantastic games, and rose to prominence quickly, releasing critically acclaimed titles in collaboration with industry legends like Ron Gilbert, and Penny Arcade’s Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik. We keep hoping that soon they will start returning our calls again. Making games for consoles and PCs was awesome, but the accountant in us told us we should start trying to make money as well.
So we burned all our console bridges and went exclusively mobile. Now you can find our supreme and growing line-up of titles only in their new home – the app stores. With our games bringing in tens of millions of downloads our accounting department has begun singing Kumbaya.

Our Big Win Sports series, including Big Win Football, Big Win Baseball, Big Win Soccer and Big Win Hockey allow gamers, sports fans, umpires and even accountants to create and spend money on their own teams to ensure victory. We’ve got more Big Wins on the way; look for Big Win Jai-Alai at some point (maybe).
Meanwhile, our action games, Sea Stars and Zombie Ace, continue to dominate the seas and skies across the world, firing rainbows across oceans and infecting cities in the United States with the undead. Plus, we’re still working with major creators and properties, allowing mobile gamers to use automatic weapons or chew up everything in sight to get their point across in our Scarface and Jaws games. Nobody can say we’ve lost touch with the little guy – our accounting department is full of little guys with pen protectors and calculators in their pocket.
